The word andropause has been introduced in
the dictionary in 1952 (Le Petit Robert).
Our study starts in 1974.
The conclusions about hundreds cases were published in 1988 after 14th
years of considerations .
On January 4th
1988
the first book on andropause disease was published by a medical publisher,
(Éditions Maloine Paris).
This first edition written in 1987 was
immediately out of print.
The second edition was published July 14,
1989 and is also exhausted.
Andropause is a disease.
The cause is a decrease in the secretion of
male hormones (testosterone and dihydrotestosterone), usually after forty years and sometimes before.
Local consequences are made by the involution
of the genitalia causing
impotence ,
abnormalities of ejaculation and
prostate disorders.
The overall complications are made by a general
involution
of the body.
Treatment consists of
specific male hormone
supplementation based
on biochemical analysis.
A popular
